Concrete & Slab Removal in Oldsmar

This is the job our whole operation is built around: break it out, haul it to our yard, crush it, and sell it back as base material. Our yard is about 20 minutes away, and we are licensed C-11855 and CUC041521.

The slab under a removed Race Track Road metal building is usually the heaviest part of the job—industrial floor thickness, reinforced, with the aprons around it. On the low grid near the bay, demolish-and-elevate rebuilds leave a slab that has to go before the piles do, and both kinds of concrete run twenty minutes back to our yard for crushing.

Oldsmar splits between industrial-district work — whole building removals as flex space turns over — and residential teardowns on the old low-lying grid near the bay, where storm flooding has pushed owners toward demolish-and-elevate decisions. Both feed concrete and steel straight back to our yard.

Driveways, patios, walkways, pads and footers all come out the same way — saw-cut where a clean edge matters, broken out with a machine, and loaded. The variables are thickness and reinforcement. A 4-inch unreinforced patio is quick work; an 8-inch commercial apron with rebar is a different day.

Rebar and wire mesh slow the breaking and add weight. Post-tension slabs are a different job entirely — the tendons are under load and have to be identified before anyone starts cutting. If you know what is in the slab, tell us; if you do not, we assess on site before quoting.

Every demolition is quoted on site, free. Access, structure and what has to be protected move the number more than square footage does, which is why we walk it rather than price it down the phone.

Twenty minutes from the yard along the top of the county — no bridge, no toll, and Oldsmar is the last stop before Tampa, so it shares Clearwater-grade haul economics that Hillsborough contractors coming the other way cannot match.

How it works

What a Oldsmar job looks like

  1. Assess and cut

Thickness and reinforcement checked; saw-cut where a clean edge is needed against something staying.

  2. Break out

Slab broken with machine or breaker and loaded — sized to weight, not volume.

  3. Haul and crush

Concrete returns to our transfer station and is crushed into base material.

  4. Grade or rebase

The area is graded off, or crushed concrete base is placed and compacted ready for new paving.

Questions

Concrete Removal in Oldsmar — FAQs

How much does concrete removal cost in Oldsmar?

It comes down to the structure and the access, not the ZIP code. On patio or walkway, unreinforced, what moves the number is area, thickness, and how far the machine has to travel. What moves it in Oldsmar is whether it is an industrial building removal or a residential demolish-and-elevate on the low grid near the bay. We walk the site and quote it, free.

Can you remove a reinforced slab?

Yes. Rebar and mesh add time and weight but not drama. Post-tension slabs are the exception — they must be identified first, and we check before quoting.

Can you put down new base after removal?

Yes — crushed concrete road base from our own yard, placed and compacted on the same job, ready for pavers, asphalt or a new pour.

Do I need a permit to remove a driveway?

Usually not for the removal itself, but the apron at the right-of-way and any replacement work often need one. We tell you what your municipality requires.
